(Wiederaufbau)

The foundation stone for this first new Catholic church building in Stuttgart since the Reformation was laid in 1808. The original building structure of the Eberhardskirche was a reconstruction of the Protestant church taken down at Schloss Solitude. It was completely removed in 1808 and transferred to the construction site in Königstrasse. The reconstruction by Hugo Schlösser according to the original ground plan was completed in 1955. The façade consists of solid work pieces made of Maulbronn sandstone.
